Newly erected skyscraper in China looks like a penis

A newly erected skyscraper in the Guangxi region of China is the butt of jokes by locals and online trolls alike because of its phallic shape.

When it opened in August, it’s possible the designers of Guangxi’s New Media Center hoped the building’s modern look would complement the city’s ever-changing landscape. However, people are mocking the long and tall structure for resembling a penis and testicles.

The U.K. Sun reported the building took two years to build and was designed to look like the region’s terraced landscapes. Photos of the New Media Center went viral with many making fun of the structure with their best dirty jokes.

“Such a stimulating picture. Sorry, I couldn’t help it,” tweeted one person.

“Gotta hand it to the Chinese. This is the nation’s latest erection in Guangxi. We see it here shooting out love all over residents below,” joked another.

“No way this was a mistake. I tip my hat to the architects for having the … ba…fortitute to pull…that…off,” tweeted another amused person.

A video making the rounds of the Internet showed the building lit up at night with fireworks shooting out from the top to mark China’s Mid-Autumn Festival to mimic ejaculating. However, the U.K. Sun reported the video was fake.
